About my Comanche

i am 18 years old and i only make $8.50 an hour, so this truck was built on a very low budget (the most expesive part i bought was the 5-speed at $50!). i dont make very much money so everything on my truck i got from a friend, swap meet, junkyard, or my favorite, the five finger discount. i love it when someone tries to tell me what i should have done differently, and my response is that i built my truck for me, not so i can please everyone else. i have owned this truck for almost a year now and when i got it was bone stock, and it was about a week later that i started tinkering with it (taking uneccessary parts out, crawling underneath to see how it was built, etc.). it wasnt until i had it for about a couple of months that i really fell in love with it. thats when i started thinking about what i could do to modify it. some ideas i came up with, some i saw on other peoples truck, and then some i just came across the part and loved it so much i put it on. so i built this truck for all you people that say Jeeps should be lifted not lowered. i built this truck on a really low budget, and i built it for me, not to mention i built something totally different. my mods will never stop, and someday i hope to drag the frame and end up in MiniTruckin, thats my dream.

P.S.  stuff that i couldnt fit on the lines above:  battery relocated to toolbox in the bed, stock bench seat in the bed, L.E.D. backup light on the back of the cab, semi-truck antannas mounted just inside the bed, removed headliner, Sunpro 3" tach, painted dash pieces, strobe lights in the headlighs, crappy pioneer seaker in the bed w/ toggle switch, 2-point race belts in back seat, upside-down grill, and my personal favorite, the WWII mortar shell zip-tied to the drivers-side rocker panel.

Newest addition/modification: big ol nasty push bar bolted to a custom front crossmember with 5" diving lights wired to the high beams

Next addition/modification: side pipes through the body

it's great to experiment at your age, but one day you will see the light and drop the b.s. and see what its like to feel the rush of off roading with a small jeep that can take you where most vehichels can't. Keep on doing what makes you happy, because that is whats important about you and you pushing your vehichle to the limit of fun!
